Job Summary: We're looking for a strong candidate to add to our Field Service team. As a Field Service Technician, you'll be undertaking duties that include pre-start checks, planned maintenance and breakdown repair.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Effectively analyze problem situations regarding breakdowns customer-equipment breakdowns and recommend necessary action(s) to correct situation
- Exhibit a professional demeanor and promote goodwill between company and customers through superior customer service
- Perform necessary repairs/modifications to correct analyzed situation in a productive way
- Perform scheduled equipment maintenance for contracted customers according to our Scheduled Maintenance policy/procedures
- Prepare necessary documentation relating to individual service calls in a neat/accurate manner
- Follow safety rules and ensure hazardous waste is properly disposed
- Maintain parts and supplies inventory in company service van
- Maintain service van to ensure it's clean, organized and hazard-free
- Ensure regular maintenance on service van (oil changes, tire rotations, etc.) and required repairs are completed
- Maintain valid driver’s license and clean motor-vehicle record per company policy
- Provide personal tools required for effectively and safely performing duties
- Keep work area clean/clutter-free; keep tools clean and in good repair
- Follow customer safety and housekeeping guidelines when performing repairs at customer sites
- Provide field training to new-hire technicians to supplement formal training programs
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Effectively communicate with customers, management and co-workers
- Read and interpret schematics
- Read and understand necessary service and training manuals
- Follow verbal and/or demonstrated instructions
- Perform calculations involving fractions, decimals and percentages
- Maintain robust understanding of industry innovations and product availability to make recommendations based on customer needs
- Effectively utilize volt and ohm multimeters
- Demonstrate thorough mechanical and electrical aptitude
- Demonstrate work safety practices, including proper use of safety equipment (safety glasses, harnesses, etc.)
- Perform physical work, occasionally exerting 125+ lbs. of force, frequently 50+ lbs. of force, and constantly up to 20 lbs. of force
- Perform activities (climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping)
- Safely operate drills, grinders, presses, forklifts, hoists, overhead cranes, and personal hand tools
- Draw upon support resources within the company and recognize appropriate situations to do so
- Work within a variety of environments, including manufacturing, distribution, cold storage, and outdoor exposure to elements with the understanding that potential exposure to equipment-related and/or dangerous chemical/solvent hazards may occur if proper safety procedures are not followed
- Perform duties beyond typical working hours and/or on weekends, based on customer needs
- Possess a familiarity of PC applications (laptop/tablet) to diagnose equipment issues
