Job Summary: We are offering an opportunity for an experienced Forklift Operator Trainer who is ready to grow his or her career with a leading dealer in the material handling industry. As a member of our Training Team, you will be training our customer’s operators and working with their trainers in the safe practices of forklift operation and assist working with our own staff.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Trains internal employees in the safe operation of various forklift types as both operators and trainers, ensuring safe operation and adequate trainers are in place throughout each division.
- On customer site, trains customer’s employees as trainers and operators on required forklift safety programs.
- Provides expertise on Safety training requirements based on customer account.
- Works with our sales, marketing, and operations functions to support our customer’ safety requirements and meets with customers to actively communicate programs and progress of objectives.
- Proposes customized training packages based on unique needs of each customer.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred or combination of college and related program development experience required.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience conducting safety training for equipment operators. Experience conducting train-the-trainer programs is preferred.
- Material Handling industry experience preferred.
- Familiarity with Federal and State occupational safety regulations including OSHA.
- Team facilitation skills and the ability to work effectively in cross-functional settings. Must be a strong team player with ability to organize, prioritize, handle time constraints, and manage shifting priorities.
- Willingness to develop sales skills such as selling value over price and selling the value of training to our internal sales force and potential customers.
- Excellent oral and written communications skills.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Valid driver's’ license is required.
- Overnight travel is minimal – local travel required.
- Knowledge of CRM database preferred, but not required.
