Do you have experience working in a Lean material handling environment? Arbor-Pengate is seeking qualified candidates for an Energy Solutions Manager.The ESM will focus on maximizing market penetration and profitability while working closely with our client base, sales personnel, and technicians to establish and grow our presence in the market.The incumbent will support the sales and service teams in achieving forecasted goals. This position requires an individual whose customer service and leadership skills drive us to exceed customer expectations.

Principle Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Plan and forecast energy solution sales and service in the market and implement programs to meet these goals
  • Hire, train and manage team of technicians
  • Promote energy solution sales and service offerings to both current and prospective customers through active marketing of programs and our Aftermarket Sales Representatives and Account Managers
  • Develop, implement, and administer Business Plans and functional reporting systems/procedures for continual measurement of performance against objectives
  • Manage technician time to ensure billing efficiency and profitability
  • Analyze market potential and trends, determine areas where product sales can improve and initiate action to ensure this happens
  • Provide creative business solutions to customer needs
  • Develop annual budget and business plan for Divisional
  • Conduct customer sales calls and presentations with ASR’s and AM’s
  • Perform related duties as assigned or as the situation dictates
  • Will work closely with respective Manager (EVP Aftermarket Solutions) on account planning, pricing and hiring decisions

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

  • Exceptional business acumen with a demonstrated understanding of key business drivers
  • Product knowledge of industrial batteries and chargers along with general sales and market knowledge of material handling industry
  • Ability to establish and maintain customer confidence
  • Demonstrated ability and persistence to overcome obstacles
  • Highly motivated to achieve challenging goals
  • Organizational, planning, and prioritizing skills
  • Excellent computer skills and efficiency in Microsoft office products
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills

Qualifications:

  • Experience in a leadership role with managerial and sales forecasting responsibilities
  • Experience working in a continuous improvement/lean environment
  • Highly confident, advanced computer skills including use of Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel
  • Travel within the Pengate – Arbor territory as needed

Working Conditions:

  • Working in an office and a warehouse environment, with possible exposure to extreme temperatures for short periods of time.
  • Use of computer and terminal to gather data and generate reports and memos.
  • Must be able to deal with strict deadlines and disgruntled customers and associates.
  • From time to time, must operate equipment in the field—at which time, could be exposed to varying environments at the customer’s site, including potential exposure to dangerous chemicals and solvents if proper safety procedures are not followed.
  • Overnight travel required on regular basis and with short notice.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to perform moderate physical work, exerting more than 50 pounds of force occasionally, and up to 25 pounds frequently
  • Performing activities such as climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, and grasping.
