Job Summary: We are rapidly growing our customer-technology practice, based in York, PA. We have an immediate need for a Technology Project Specialist to support our lift truck fleets and warehouse optimization software/hardware installations. The ideal candidate should possess an expertise in the following subject matters: supporting hardware installation, software implementation and data collection & analysis. Our clients range from regional grocery chains to the largest logistics companies in North America. We support customers through our offices in York, Pittsburgh and Pittston, Pennsylvania; Albany and Syracuse, New York; and remote locations in Massachusetts and Vermont.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Install & configure server-based software as a hands-on project team member for a variety of customers in a commercial/industrial setting
  • Install & configure forklift-based hardware components for the warehouse fleet optimization/telematics systems
  • Support and administer 3rd-party applications
  • Set up accounts, permissions and access
  • Maintain database and/or record files with appropriate supporting material(s)
  • Provide necessary training during facility installations so customers can manage the application(2) after they've gone live
  • Provide ongoing support for all software, hardware and technical updates, as needed
  • Collect & analyze information to help support actionable data for customer feedback

 

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrate a high level of mechanical aptitude
  • Possess exceptional customer service and presentation skills, with the ability to relate to a diverse range of audiences
  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to all levels of organization
  • Possess strong problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrate excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • Exhibit a detail-oriented demeanor, with ability to handle multiple projects at once
  • Demonstrate efficiency with the complete Microsoft Office suite
  • Must possess a background in commercial networks & project leadership
  • Demonstrate experience with server-based applications in a WiFi environment (not required, but highly emphasized)
  • Possess a familiarity with Server 2008 R2 and Windows 7/8 Pro (not required, but highly emphasized)
  • Able to manage complex and significant projects with ease
  • Demonstrate an understanding of Labor Management & Warehouse Management Systems (not required, but a strong plus)
  • Possess a valid Driver's License with good driving record
  • Complete a favorable background check & pre-employment drug screen
