About the Opportunity:

  • If selected, you'll be using the appropriate tools to accurately complete 100% of all shipping and receiving duties on a daily basis, including inspecting goods for damages, overages, and shortages, as well as verifying bill freight accuracy.
  • You'll also maintain our Parts area by putting away stock in the proper location, labeling items, keeping adequate supply levels, correcting discrepancies, and maintaining general cleanliness in your work area.
  • You should be prepared to provide initial contact with our customers by manning the Part counter, and be required to recognize and provide appropriate solutions or perform product demonstrations and application assistance as necessary. In short, your skills will help us expand our customer base and foster loyalty with individual customers.
  • You'll be required to deliver parts to technicians and customers, predicting their needs and providing appropriate solutions to help increase business.
  • Lastly, you'll be in charge of providing shop and field training to new technicians as a supplement to our formal training programs.


Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • An accredited high school diploma
  • High level of self motivation
  • 1-3 years of industrial parts inventory, package/pallet handling, and customer care experience. (UPS and FedEx manifest-systems knowledge is very helpful.)
  • Valid driver's license and a clean motor vehicle record
  • Ability to understand and follow verbal and/or demonstrated instructions.
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks at once while experiencing occasional stressful workload peaks (all while demonstrating excellent prioritization and organizational skills).
  • Ability to demonstrate speed and accuracy while performing packing and shipping duties, as well as understanding and following our hazardous materials guidelines.
  • Ability to communicate with customers and maintain a solid understanding of industry innovations and product availability in order to make smart recommendations when needed.
  • Ability to demonstrate mechanical skills while utilizing proper safety practices, including the use of appropriate safety equipment.
  • Familiarity with common PC applications, including the Microsoft Office suite, and ability to demonstrate general clerical skills.

Physical Requirements:

  • Lifting 50 pounds (occasionally) and 20 pounds (consistently) without the need for assistance
  • Extensive walking (up to 3-5 miles per day)
  • Frequent kneeling, squatting, bending, pushing, and pulling
  • Exposure to noise, heat, cold, and slippery, wet, or dirty conditions
