Job Summary: Team Pengate is currently seeking a Training and Development Manager to add to our Training team in York, PA. The qualified individual will be responsible for improving the productivity of our organization's employees by actively searching, creatively designing and effectively implementing methods to educate, enhance and recognize quality performance. This position will actively participate in The Raymond Corporation's Lean Management Program and lead the implementation of the program at Pengate Handling Systems.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Implement the Raymond Corporation's Lean Management Program
  • Implement Toyota Production System processes as they pertain to technician training and qualification
  • Conduct annual training and development programs
  • Develop and monitor spending against departmental budget
  • Obtain and/or develop effective training materials, utilizing a variety of media
  • Train and coach management and others who are involved in employee-development efforts
  • Plan, coordinate and facilitate employee development and training events
  • Develop and maintain organizational communications (such as bulletin boards and newsletters) to ensure employees have knowledge of training and development events/resources
  • Conduct follow-up studies for all completed training programs in order to evaluate and measure their results, then modify programs as needed
  • Exemplify all aspects of the Team Pengate culture and related philosophies
  • Work effectively with all employees, including management and HR staff
  • Perform supervisory duties as needed
  • Perform requires travel, when needed (up to 15% of job duties)

Qualifications:

  • Possess a Bachelor's Degree in Education or Training and Organizational Development
  • Possess 5 years of related Training experience
  • Demonstrate a strong electronic and mechanical background
  • Demonstrate refined knowledge of adult learning principles
  • Possess high-percentile scores in abstract reasoning, coupled with a practical approach to instruction of others
